  Why the BIG 4.5 day elder "school"?

  just wonderin' if anyone has heard of anything about something big going down in the borg?

  good friend of mine just told me today that he will be attending a 4.5 day elder "training school" all nest week!

  the "special" elder "schools" are usually only 2-3 days.. lots of dumbing down coming?.

  When You Would Hear A Talk About Committing “Secret Sins” How Did You React?

  it seemed as if every year a talk would be given in the congregation or at a convention about “secret sins”.

  very predictably, witnesses would have pangs of conscience and confess their secret sin.. back in the 70s, one sister with an unbelieving mate went to the elders to confess about husband and her engaging in oral sex.

  she was privately reproved for her “sin” and every so often would approach the elders to say she slipped up again.. i know i’d never tell anybody about my sex life just because of misguided guilt.

  But days of future passed I like my old sweater with the hole in it. It's very comfortable and warm. I don't have to worry about getting more holes or spilling coffee on it. Lol Secret sins are just another way the cult controls people. Without sins and the devil there would be no religion telling people what to do. Yes god is more interested in secret sins than all the horrible things that happen in this world. Sick! Still Totally ADD

  i have been in crisis regarding the international problem of the way child abuse has been handled in the wt organization.

  i have been dealing with serious health issues that made it necessary for me to go on permanent disability since 2015. since then my health has gotten worse making it nearly impossible to attend meetings.

  in this period i have received no spiritual or other help of any kind.

  Hello and welcome Inactive. So sorry for all you are going through. You have made the very first big step out of a cult who could care less about you or anyone else. I hope you are getting help from a doctor. If so the next time you see your doctor ask if there are any support groups you could go to or a good therapist who knows how to help ones who are leaving a cult.. Many of us have gone through the same thing so don't feel it's you. Because it's not instead it's the mind control JW's cult we have all been victim to. You have friends here and we are so happy you have wokeup to the twisted thinking of the Wt. You deserve better and you are worth it. Good luck to you and take care. Still Totally ADD

  For those who are obese they are actually suffering from malnutrition. Yes they may have lots of food to eat but it is most likely food full of fat and surgar. Process food which is addictive. This is the trap many normal weight and overweight people fall into. For most now a days eating whole food that is nutritious is not part of their lifes anymore. Many are victims of fast and cheap food. Still Totally ADD

  Christians, Islam and most of all other religions teach hate and judgemental thinking towards those who are not them. No one deserves violent acts towards them but religions on all sides condone it one way or another. The God Virus is strong on this planet and it maybe the cause of all human life to end.   I understand it was 1069 when they started to build this church. Simon is right about alot of knowlege has been lost through the years on building technics of times past. It survived two world wars but not a common fire. So sad. Still Totally ADD

  So gald you are doing so well. Living a cult free life is so rewarding. It was so nice to see your post this morning. It really starts my day off with good thoughts. I remember when I was a teenager one of my favorite albums was Deep Purple with the Philharmonic Orchestra. I wore that 8-track tape out. Lol. Take care and good luck with your band.
